Groom’s Section

Potato GunOne of the rea­sons why we opened Hid­den River is because we believe grooms are spe­cial too. We wish not to per­pet­u­ate com­mon stereo­types, so please for­give the fact that we may be doing this here when we include a pic­ture of a groom with a potato gun under his arm in this sec­tion! But this photo of a recent groom at his rehearsal din­ner, don­ning my husband’s home­made potato gun, was just too cute to leave off the web­site. While we don’t wish to per­pet­u­ate stereo­types, we did hap­pen to notice that none of the women at the rehearsal din­ner went run­ning over to try it!

Seri­ously, we really do want to help grooms feel spe­cial and appre­ci­ated at the time of their wed­dings. It’s their day too, really, although our cul­ture tends to sug­gest oth­er­wise. From the moment a poten­tial client con­tacts us, we make an effort to know both halves of the cou­ple, equally. We think Hid­den River is par­tic­u­larly attrac­tive for many rea­sons: great views and photo oppor­tu­ni­ties, river access, easy access to hik­ing trails, the farm and horses, and because we care for both the bride and the groom. We hope to serve all of you well.
